The 4th Full Length Album from experimental lo-fi project Smiling Strange. Recorded in Austin TX, Boston MA, and Portland OR.
Like all my other projects, this was a collection of cassette and phone recordings, as well as some stuff recorded using Freeware and strung together with the sounds of my friends and the world around me.
The goal is always to capture the moment when a song first becomes a song, before it can be played again or even understood. Thank you for listening.

Thank you to everyone and anything that was on the album, whether intentionally or not. Special thanks to Coyote Burns, Michael Corenthal, Paul Stansbury, Heiko Knorzer, Tygrr, and the cities of Austin and Portland. As always, thanks to my brother Evan and my sister Sophia, without whom I'd just be a crazy person ranting into empty rooms.
This album is dedicated to Sophia, because I feel like she should have at least one of these dedicated to her at some point.
